Ben Turns One!!

Well, I'm a little late adding this to the blog, but I couldn't just skip it altogether. Our little Ben turned one year old on July 21st! Now I'm going to sound like my mother, but...it seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. He's not yet walking...maybe another month. And, par for the Cutlip kids, he still has no teeth...maybe another month.

To help celebrate (and do some work on the house), my parents came up the weekend before Ben's birthday to join Tom's parents and us. During the day the men worked on installing a sliding glass door in the dining room (more on that in a future post) and the kids and us ladies had some fun climbing some big rocks at the Little Elden Springs Trail Head. After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to Ben and gave him some birthday cake and ice cream. Even though he was a little under-the-weather, he loved it.

We moved Ben's pack-n-play in Livvy and Sammy's room about a month ago. They love having him in their room with them. We told Livvy that if we have another baby and if that baby is not a girl, then she would have her own room...that made her a little sad. They love all being together, even if Ben wakes them up in the morning with his loud squawking.
